I totally suck! I can't believe I haven't posted in a million years. I've been busy busy so I hope you understand. Got this list from Dancing Brave.

Me from A to Z

A - Act your age? Yes. No. I don't know. It's hard to know for sure, especially when I'm surrounded by mostly older people in my job and younger people at home. My husband is a PhD student so our friends are usually a little younger than us. We are the only ones with a child. Come on people - procreate already.

B - Born on what day of the week? Thursday. My mom always told me that saying, "Monday's child is fair of face, blah blah blah - Thursday's child has far to go." What the hell does that mean?? Looks like it sucks to be a Wednesday or Thursday child - sorry kid - you're screwed!!

C - Chore you hate? All of them - is this a trick question? Actually I enjoy cleaning the bathroom. I always feel that you can tell how clean a person is by their bathroom. I really really hate washing dishes. That is why I got married and instituted the "I cook, you clean" Rule.

D - Dad's name? Ronald Eugene and no I won't be naming any children after him - he understands. Really he does.

E- Essential makeup item? Mascara. I used to be a lipstick girl, but most days I forget to put it on.

F - Favorite actor? Crap! This changes about every decade. I used to love me some Molly Ringwald in the 80s, Meg Ryan in the 90s, but now I'm not so sure. I'm not a big fan of Renee or Nicole. I know - Parker Posey and Lily Taylor. Now for the boys, consistently I like Sean Penn, Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks and just for looking at - Brad Pitt, Michael Vartan and Jude Law.

G - Gold or silver? Silver baby!!

H - Hometown? I was born in Pittsburg, KS, but raised in Catoosa, OK.

I - Instruments you play? The clarinet, the clarinet... Although, I admit that I haven't touched the thing since the night I graduated from high school.

J - Job title? Executive Director. Fancy title for someone who only bosses herself.

K - Kids? One boy - Omri James. Hopefully, we will add to the brood soon. Also, the original kids, or OKs as we call them (not really) Jasper Dog (that's his name) and Simon Ivy (our cat).

L - Living arrangements? With the fam in a house as old as dirt, but we love it.

M - Mom's name? Melissa Ann - she goes by Lisa.

N - Need... to make travel arrangements. Am going to NYC for the first time at the end of the month and I still have no hotel and no plane ticket. I am so on the ball.

O - Overnight hospital stays? Other than giving birth - I had to stay overnight when I had my tonsils removed. Note to parents - do not wait until your child is 21 to remove tonsils - the recovery is much worse when you are older.

P - Phobia? Like Dancing Brave, I have an unrealistic fear of eyes. I have eye empathy. Whenever someone talks about contacts or eye surgery of any kind, my eyes well up. It's happening right now. I will never be able to wear contacts or have that laser surgery - I would rather die - or be blind.

Q - Quote you like? "And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make." Lennon/McCartney - "A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others." The Wizard of Oz

R - Religious affiliation? Catholic -that is to say that my mom is Catholic, my husband is Catholic, I was married in a Catholic church and had my son christened in a Catholic church. I myself am nothing. I believe in something, I'm just not sure what. I have a hard time blending what I assume are God's laws with man's laws. God is pissed that I have used birth control? that I lived with my husband before we were married? that my mom divorced and remarried? I really don't think so. Not my God anyway.

S - Siblings? A younger brother (12 years younger).

T - Time you wake up? Which time? I usually wake up around 4 am and worry myself about things I need to get done. I am up looking at the clock until around 5:30, when I usually go to the couch. For some reason, my mind relaxes when I'm on the couch. I then rouse myself around 7 or 7:30 to take on the day.

U - Unique talent? I can fold my tongue over, can make it into a U shape and can tie a cherry stem into a knot. I believe these are the primary reasons my husband married me.

V - Vegetable you refuse to eat? Beets. I can't say that I've actually ever tried beets, but just looking at them make me want to barf.

W - Worst habit? Biting my finger nails. However, in my defense, I only do this when I'm reading a book. So next time you see me, check out my nails - you'll know if I'm knee deep in a book or if it's been months.

X - X-rays you've had? Teeth, wrist, intestinal area

Y - Yummy food you make? I am not being a braggart, I swear, but I am an excellent cook. I like to make new recipes and the old standards. I can whip up an awesome paella just as well as I can do mashed potatoes and meatloaf. I do lack in one area - I suck at desserts. I do a pretty good apple pie, but I only make it once a year on the 4th of July. I'll make one for all of my neighbors and our family, but that's it.

Z - Zodiac Sign? Sagittarius. My strengths and weaknesses according to this website:

One of your main strengths, dear Sag, is that you achieve your goals through the power of positive thinking. Your happy-go-lucky, future-oriented nature opens many doors for you. You are direct, honest, and jovial, which makes you a very humane and amiable friend, lover, and coworker.

Of course, you also have some weaknesses; due to your disposition, your head is often in the clouds, and you are oblivious to reality. You also run the risk of being hypocritical, and get so opinionated and dogmatic that you impose your "truth" upon others. You also don't tolerate any kind of restriction, and develop restlessness and unquenchable wanderlust.
