If you have a child under the age of 5, you might watch a little show called "Max and Ruby". I like this show. I have discovered that parents of young children are really quite opinionated about what their children watch. For instance, my best bud Lori loves "Rugrats" and "Franklin". I can't stand "Rugrats" - don't like the animation, don't like the baby talk. As for "Franklin" - talk about a sissy. Please! Take off the red bandana and ball cap and grow some. My husband and I both like "The Fairly Oddparents", "Spongebob" and "Rocket Power". Fortunately for us, our son likes Oddparents and Spongebob. Back to "Max and Ruby" - has anyone ever noticed that these two don't have parents? It's not like on "Peanuts" where you only hear the voice of the adults, you see their grandmother, teacher, Bunny Scout leader, the other kid's parents, but no parents for Max and Ruby. Were there parents trapped by Farmer Macgregor? Maybe it's like "Party of Five" and Ruby is raising Max. Could be - my mom saw the show for the first time the other day and told my son that "that girl bunny is bossy!" Is there grandmother incapable of raising them? Are there no adults who could step in and help these children? This morning saw Ruby taking her little brother Max on her Bunny Scout camping trip. She constantly had to keep interrupting the other girl's scary story time to put Max back in bed. Is anyone else concerned for Max and Ruby? Anyone? No? Just me? Another clue that I must get a life...
